In a letter addressed to the NNPP chairman of his Zaitawa constituency on November 11, 2025, Koki cited ongoing internal conflicts within the party’s national leadership as the reason for his departure, describing the situation as untenable.
Koki, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources, expressed gratitude to NNPP for the platform and opportunities he received during his tenure, calling the experience “unforgettable.” He did not, however, reveal his next political move or the party he plans to join.
