The commissioning, held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, was made possible through the support of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, who facilitated the project. CP Bakori commended the senator for what he called his unwavering commitment to public safety, stressing that the new division will play a vital role in enhancing security in the area.

Speaking at the event, the police boss highlighted the significance of the new facility in advancing community policing, boosting emergency response, and promoting stronger cooperation between residents and security agencies. He urged community members to work closely with the police to maximize the benefits of the division.

After the commissioning, CP Bakori visited Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, where he inspected the police barracks to evaluate the welfare and operational readiness of officers stationed there. He reassured personnel of the command’s resolve to improve both their living and working conditions.

The police command expressed appreciation to stakeholders who contributed to the projects, describing their collaboration as a reflection of shared commitment to peace and stability in Kano State.
