Shafiu, a resident of the Janbulo area in Kano, disappeared in 2021, sparking an extensive search by his family and friends. Over time, many had lost hope of ever finding him.

According to family sources, the missing student was discovered in a village in Kaduna State, where he had been living with an Islamic scholar who reportedly took him in after noticing signs of mental instability.

The family expressed deep gratitude for his safe return, confirming that Shafiu has reunited with them and is now in stable health.
