Kano State House of Assembly has passed a bill into law for the creation of 2nd class Emirates.

The new second class emirates which will work under first class Kano emirate include:
- Rano Emirate: Rano- Bunkure, Kibiya
- Karaye Emirate: Karaye- Rogo
- Gaya Emirate: Gaya- Ajingi, Albasu
Kano Assembly dissolves 4 emirates created by Ganduje
Recall that Daily News 24 reported that the Kano State House of Assembly repealed the Kano Emirates Council Law 2019, thereby dissolving the Emirates of Bichi, Gaya, Karaye and Rano.
The Assembly repealed the Emirates Law on during its plenary session amidst tight security.
The law abrogated the establishment of 5 new Emirates in the state.
All offices established under the repealed law have been set aside by the new bill.
Also all district heads elevated or appointed under the repealed law are to revert to their previous positions.
The Kano State Emirates Council (Amendment number 2) Law, 2024, was sponsored by the Majority Leader and member representing the Dala Constituency, Lawan Hussaini Chediyar Yan Gurasa.
