Speaking on behalf of 16 APC local government chairmen, their secretaries, and ward leaders, Alhaji Iliya Jibrin Hungu, chairman of APC in Albasu Local Government Area, urged Senator Sumaila to consider rejoining the party.

Hungu highlighted Sumaila’s political strength and popularity among constituents, saying his return would greatly enhance the APC’s chances in upcoming elections. “If Senator Sumaila returns to APC, no other party will shine in Kano South,” he stated, stressing the senator’s influence in grassroots politics.

He also appealed to key national party figures, including APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Senator Barau Jibrin, to support efforts aimed at convincing Sumaila to come back.

The APC leaders expressed confidence that Sumaila’s return would help foster unity among members and boost the party’s visibility and performance in Kano South. They noted that the senator’s track record of serving the people aligns with the party’s goals, making him a valuable political ally.
