The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced a significant reduction in the cost of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, offering relief to intending pilgrims across the country.

According to details released by the commission, pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa zones will now pay N7,579,020.96, down from N8,327,125.59 in 2025, a decrease of N748,104.63.
Similarly, pilgrims from the northern zone will pay N7,696,769.76 instead of N8,457,685.59, reflecting a reduction of N760,915.83. Those from the southern zone will pay N7,991,141.76, compared to N8,784,085.59 last year, a drop of N792,943.83.
NAHCON stated that the adjustment was part of efforts to make the spiritual journey more affordable and to ease the financial burden on Nigerian Muslims.
The commission also announced December 5, 2025, as the new payment deadline and urged intending pilgrims to complete their payments early to ensure smooth processing and participation in the 2026 Hajj.
