During the struggle, a local vigilante named Suleiman Dahiru tried to intervene and was also stabbed in the hand. The attacker was eventually overpowered and beaten by an angry crowd at the scene.
Lt. Cdr. Buba was taken to Manaal Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. His body has been transferred to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna for further procedures.
Security officials confirmed that joint operations involving military troops, police, and civil security personnel have begun across Kaduna metropolis. These efforts focus on identifying and removing criminals lurking in high-risk areas such as bus stops and other notorious locations.
