CP Bakori revealed that Danwawu is a serial offender with a history of drug trafficking and that he was found in possession of several cartons of tramadol. The commissioner also reported several other successes, including the capture of 78 suspects between April 23 and May 9, 2025. The police seized various exhibits, such as firearms, illicit drugs, stolen property, and counterfeit currencies. Among the drugs recovered were pregabalin, diazepam, tramadol, pentazocine, codeine syrup, and cannabis.
CP Bakori emphasized that the police efforts have significantly reduced crimes such as thuggery, mobile phone snatching, armed robbery, and car theft in the state. He assured the public that the police command will remain steadfast in its mission to uphold peace and security across Kano State.
