In a statement issued on Sunday by its Acting Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola Adesina, the council clarified that the report making rounds online is entirely false and did not originate from WAEC.
The council noted that the source of the misinformation remains unclear but attributed the rumour to individuals attempting to mislead the public and cause unnecessary panic among candidates who sat for the examination.
WAEC confirmed that the marking of scripts has been completed and assured candidates that their results will be released on or before August 4, 2025.
It also advised the public to rely only on information released through its verified social media accounts and accredited media platforms.
WAEC urged students, parents, and other stakeholders to disregard the misleading publication and remain calm as preparations for the release of results are in their final stages.
