The event also brought together ardent supporters of both the APC and the PDP, despite their differences.

This is not the first time that the children of top members of Nigeria’s two major political parties have married, which is helping to shift Nigerians’ mindset to look beyond political differences.

Fatiha’s wedding took place on Saturday at Lamido’s country home in Baimana town, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, and was officiated by Khakifa Suleiman, the Imam of Bamaina, with N100,000 as the bride’s price.

Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, served as the bride’s trustee, while Mr. Nasiha, the Deputy Governor of Zamafara, served as the groom’s trustee.

Top politicians, including the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, and many party bigwigs, attended Fatiha’s wedding.

Governors who attended the event included Gombe State’s Inuwa Yahaya, Sokoto State’s Aminu Tambuwal, the PDP’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and members of the party’s Board of Trustees led by Walid Jibril.

Other dignitaries were former Vice President, Namadi Sambo; former National Security Adviser, Aliyu Gusau; and former ministers of Special Duties and Police Affairs: Tanimu Turaki and Adamu Maina as well as former governors of Bauch, Gombe, and Kaduna and other dignitaries for the two parties.
