A student has lost her life, and several others sustained injuries following the collapse of a classroom block at Government Girls Science Technical College in Potiskum, Yobe State.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday, caused panic leaving several students trapped under the rubble. Emergency responders and school officials swiftly mobilized rescue efforts, evacuating the victims to the Specialists Hospital Potiskum for urgent medical care.
The cause of the collapse is yet to be determined.
