The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State has elected Yusuf Ado Kibiya as its new chairman following a successful election process that began on Saturday evening and concluded on Sunday.

The election results were announced by the chairman of the election committee, Halilu Abubakar Mazagani, from the party’s national headquarters.

Kibiya emerged victorious with a landslide win, securing 3,964 votes against his rival, Nura Nuhu, who received 244 votes. In a ceremony following the announcement, Barrister Abdul Fatah Muhammad administered the oath of office to Hon. Kibiya and 38 other newly elected state party leaders.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Kibiya expressed gratitude to party members for their trust, pledging to lead with transparency and inclusivity as the PDP seeks to strengthen its position in Kano ahead of future political activities.
