The Kano State Ministry of Education has dispelled rumors that school resuming dates will be extended.

This was said in a statement issued by Aliyu Yusuf, the Ministry’s Director of Public Enlightenment.

He pointed out that the third term vacation had not been extended by a week.

“This rumor was made up by certain forces that always seek to cause confusion in the minds of parents and guardians as the end of vacation or break time approaches.”

“Parents and guardians of pupils and students of Public and Private Primary and Post Primary Schools in the state should therefore note that the resumption dates for boarding schools have remained Sunday 11th September 2022, while that for day schools has remained Monday 12th September 2022,” the statement said.

“While thanking parents and guardians for their support and cooperation, the ministry is asking them to guarantee compliance with the restart dates as penalties await defaulters,” the ministry noted.
