In a statement personally signed and released through his media office on Friday, Kwankwaso described the reports as unfounded “online statements” without any basis or credibility. He stressed that he had not written any letter to the APC national secretariat or to any political leader expressing intent to defect.

The clarification followed reports earlier in the day suggesting that Kwankwaso had opened talks with APC leaders and even sent a discreet communication to the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

Dismissing the claims, Kwankwaso urged Nigerians and his supporters to rely only on verified official channels for updates on his political direction.
