The initiative, introduced by Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration, is part of efforts to support those fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdussalam, who chairs the programme, emphasized that the initiative is a humanitarian effort designed to ease the burden on residents, particularly those facing financial difficulties. He noted that the government is committed to ensuring that relief reaches those in need during Ramadan.

The feeding programme will run for 27 days, with meals distributed at 91 designated centers across the state. To facilitate smooth implementation, the government has engaged catering service providers to prepare and deliver the 91,000 daily meals.

Abdussalam expressed satisfaction with the programme’s launch and urged catering companies to ensure timely and efficient meal distribution to beneficiaries.
