The directive was issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim, during an ongoing special capacity-building workshop for senior government officials in Kaduna.
According to him, the move is part of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s commitment to entrench transparency, accountability, and integrity in public service.
“All the political appointees recently appointed by Kano State Government are directed to immediately declare their assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau,” Ibrahim stated.
He explained that the declaration of assets will help prevent conflicts of interest, ensure accountability, and reinforce the trust between public servants and the people they serve.
Ibrahim further noted that by insisting on the exercise, the governor is demonstrating his resolve to strengthen good governance practices and hold public officials to high ethical standards.
