The 16th Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, has appointed Alhaji Mannir Sanusi, the District Head of Bichi, as the new Galadiman Kano.

This decision follows the passing of Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, the former Galadiman Kano, leaving a vacancy in this prominent position.
Alhaji Mannir Sanusi confirmed his new role in an interview on Tuesday, stating that the Emir made the appointment after consulting with key figures in the Kano Emirate Council.
In addition to the Galadiman Kano appointment, Emir Sanusi II has approved other significant changes within the traditional leadership. The Turakin Kano has been promoted to the position of Wamban Kano, while Adam Sanusi has been appointed as the new Tafidan Kano.
