A Kaduna State College of Education student, Gidan Waya, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was shot dead during a protest on Monday.

It was gathered that the deceased had joined his colleagues, who were protesting a hike in school fees when security operatives attempted to disperse them forcefully, DAILY POST reports.

The state Police Spokesman, ASP Mohammad Jalike, is yet to confirm the incident.
