The airline’s Chairman, Allen Onyema, revealed the initiative on Wednesday, praising President Bola Tinubu and Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, for their proactive leadership in addressing the concerns of key sectors. Onyema described the government’s recent actions as a lifeline for industries across the country.
The move follows the Federal Government’s suspension of the 4% Free on Board (FOB) levy on imported goods, a decision that had drawn criticism from manufacturers, importers, and customs agents over fears of inflation and economic disruption. Air Peace’s initiative is seen as a direct response to this supportive government policy.
The Graduate Trainee Programme is designed to equip Nigerian graduates with practical skills, mentorship, and exposure to careers in aviation and related industries. Interested candidates must be 30 years old or younger, hold at least a Second Class Lower degree from a recognized university, and possess an NYSC discharge certificate, exclusion, or exemption letter. The programme also seeks applicants who demonstrate adaptability, passion, and a strong desire to learn.
Applications are open via Air Peace’s website flyairpeace.com/graduate-trainee-program, with the submission deadline set for September 30, 2025.
Minister Edun emphasized that the levy suspension was critical to supporting trade facilitation and maintaining economic stability, noting the positive ripple effects on employment and sector growth.
