Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has urged football-obsessed parents to avoid pressuring their children into intensive training in the hopes of creating the next football superstar.

Mbappé, speaking during an interview with Clique TV in France, emphasized that children should be allowed to enjoy the game without unnecessary expectations.

“Enough, Kylian Mbappé tells you. My parents never put pressure on me. My father never forced me to run laps around the pitch at 6 in the morning,” Mbappé said.

The 25-year-old football star, who has won a World Cup, seven Ligue 1 titles, and received multiple Ballon d’Or nominations, explained that his football journey was his own choice.

“They let me enjoy myself… Maybe the boy only wants to play for one year. Leave the boy alone,” he added.

Mbappé also encouraged young people to dream without limits, saying, “Young people should not have to dream about being me. Because the meaning of a dream is to have no limits. I didn’t dream about anyone. I dreamed about being great.”

The forward also revealed that he considered extending his contract at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to support his younger brother Ethan, who is pursuing his own football career.

“It could have happened… I would have given up my dream of Madrid for him. Ethan is my brother, you can’t touch him. What’s the point of signing for the best club in the world if you end your brother’s career?” Mbappé explained.

Mbappé, who made the switch to Real Madrid after a transfer saga last summer, said he has always dreamed of playing for the Spanish giants.

“I have always dreamed of Real Madrid. Always. Always. Always. I don’t know when or how, but I knew I was going to play here,” he revealed.

Reflecting on his early days at Madrid, Mbappé admitted to a challenging start but remains optimistic about the future.

“It hasn’t been the best start to the season… but at Real Madrid, we are looking forward to the second half of the season. That’s when you will be judged,” he said.

Mbappé’s remarks offer both a personal insight into his journey and a strong message to parents nurturing young football hopefuls.
