The New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP) has claimed victory in all 44 local government chairmanship and councillorship seats across Kano State, according to the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC).

The announcement was made by KANSIEC Chairman, Sani Malumfashi, who confirmed the results following the completion of the local council elections.

Malumfashi disclosed that six political parties participated in the elections and commended the residents of Kano for maintaining peace throughout the voting process.

Kano residents demonstrated commendable behavior, allowing a smooth and orderly election,” said Malumfashi, emphasizing the commission’s appreciation for the peaceful conduct.
