The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 574 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The new figure brings the total number of recorded infections in the country to 146,928.

The health agency made the announcement on Monday night while giving the daily report on its official website.

NCDC also announced that about 1,478 patients were discharged in Oyo, Lagos and Kwara State as total recovery jumped to 123,009.

It also reported 9 deaths in the last 24-hour; so far, the country has recorded 1,761 fatalities due to complications from the dreaded virus.

“Our discharges today includes community recoveries in Oyo (1,198), Lagos (227) and Kwara State (53), managed in line with guidelines”.
