The suspects, aged between 14 and 28, were found in possession of four stolen mobile phones linked to various victims. Police say the arrested individuals confessed to involvement in phone theft, robbery, and street gang violence.
Among those apprehended is Mu’azu Barga, a suspect identified as a notorious serial armed robber. He is believed to have orchestrated several violent attacks and rival gang clashes across Kano metropolis.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, reiterated the Command’s zero tolerance for all forms of criminal activity, pledging that the suspects would be prosecuted once investigations are concluded.
Residents were urged to continue supporting security efforts by reporting suspicious activities to nearby police formations or through the Command’s emergency contact lines.
