Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, a former Secretary to the Kano State Government, has launched a fierce attack on the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, accusing it of widespread corruption and mismanagement.

In a video that has gone viral, Bichi claimed that the current government has committed more infractions in two years than what was recorded during the entire eight-year tenure of former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

He alleged that the pace and scale of wrongdoing under the present administration are alarming and far exceed those of the past leadership.

Bichi, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) along with 14 others, suggested that the growing dissatisfaction among the public indicates that the current administration may not survive beyond its present term.

His exit from the state government had earlier been linked to health issues, but many observers believe his political activities may have contributed to a fallout between Governor Yusuf and his mentor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

In response to the accusations, the Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, dismissed Bichi’s claims, describing them as baseless and lacking credible evidence. The government has insisted that there is no substance to the allegations and that the statements are politically motivated.
