The wife of Ahmad Adam Abba, a wanted Chadian terrorist, has disclosed how her husband tricked her into believing he was a trader, concealing his involvement in terrorism throughout their marriage.

Speaking during a police parade in Kano, the woman recounted how her husband’s actions raised her suspicions over time.

She first sensed something was wrong when he encountered difficulties with the Nigerian Immigration Service while renewing his passport. Her doubts intensified when he returned home with large sums of money in Chadian currency.

According to her, Abba frequently held secret meetings at his brother’s house ( Bushara ), never revealing his true activities. It was only after he was declared wanted that she realized the seriousness of the situation. She recalled a moment when he suddenly packed his belongings and disappeared, never to return.

Reflecting on her ordeal, she urged parents to thoroughly investigate potential suitors before giving their daughters’ hands in marriage. She also shared her personal struggles, revealing that she suffered two miscarriages during the marriage.

The police had earlier issued a security alert about suspected terrorists planning an attack in the state.

Following the warning, law enforcement arrested several individuals, including the woman and two of her husband’s associates. However, Abba managed to escape, fleeing to Cameroon after sensing danger.
