Daily News 24 reports that this was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, following a Sallah homage visit by the Emir to the Government House in Kano.
Governor Yusuf praised the Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, for the dignified manner in which he handled his removal from office, saying it demonstrated true leadership and submission to divine will.
“The Emir of Gaya showed true submission to the will of Allah when he was dethroned. He neither resisted nor protested but instead accepted it in good faith and placed his trust in Allah,” the governor said.
“It is this rare display of humility and patience that earned him his reinstatement,” he added.
He assured the Emir of his administration’s commitment to the development of Gaya Emirate, noting that a team of engineers had already been deployed to assess roads and other critical infrastructure needs in the area.
“Our government is determined to transform Gaya into a modern city. We will start by constructing feeder roads and follow up with culverts to prevent flooding and improve drainage systems,” Governor Yusuf stated.
The governor also reaffirmed his support for traditional institutions, acknowledging their role in promoting peace, unity, and cultural values.
In his remarks, Emir Abdulkadir expressed gratitude to the governor for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to support the government’s efforts to advance the Emirate and sustain peace.
