Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has revealed that his conversion from Christianity to Islam was driven by a deep personal quest for truth and spiritual enlightenment.

Speaking in a recent interview with streamer Playboymax, the “African Giant” crooner said his decision stemmed from a desire to understand life’s deeper meaning and connect with something greater than himself.
Burna Boy explained that his spiritual exploration took him through several religious doctrines, each offering lessons but leaving him with more questions than answers. “The more I research, the more confused I get,” he confessed, noting that his journey of faith remains ongoing.
According to him, embracing Islam was not about abandoning his past beliefs but about seeking peace, balance, and a closer relationship with a higher power. Despite the switch, he admitted that complete fulfillment has yet to come.
