In a statement by its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB disclosed that it has set up a high-level panel of experts comprising computer professionals, chief external examiners, measurement experts, and vice chancellors from various institutions to look into the matter.
Benjamin noted that the complaints, which appear concentrated in a few states, are being treated with utmost seriousness. As part of its response, the board is fast-tracking its annual post-examination system review, a process that usually comes months after the exams to swiftly identify and resolve any underlying technical challenges.
The review covers all key stages of the UTME process: registration, examination, and the release of results. JAMB emphasized that all candidates are given a fair chance to take the test, and in cases where technical issues are recorded, provisions are made to reschedule the exam for those affected.
The board reassured candidates and the general public that any verified technical faults will be addressed promptly with appropriate corrective actions.
