The governor made the commitment during a meeting with the university’s management team, led by Pro-Chancellor Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah. The meeting, held in Kaduna, focused on the university’s progress and the necessary steps for its smooth commencement.

Bishop Kukah shared that the university had developed 18 academic programs, which are scheduled to start in September 2025. He emphasized the need for continued collaboration to ensure the institution’s success and highlighted the university’s potential to enhance higher education in the region.

In response, Governor Sani outlined several initiatives to support the university. These included securing funding from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), allocating additional land for the university’s expansion, and providing utility vehicles to address transportation challenges.

The governor also directed the Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA) to assess and improve the access roads to the university. To enhance security in the area, he disclosed that he is working with the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, to ensure a safer environment in the Kachia region.
