Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Uba Sani, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary for Kaduna State.

Uba Sani defeated two other aspirants in the contest to emerge victorious.

He polled 1,149 votes to emerge as the winner, while Bashir Abubakar scored 37 votes to come second and Sani Shaaban got ten votes to come third position.

Declaring the winner, the Returning Officer for the primary election which was concluded around 2:30am on Friday, Mr Anachuna Henry said, Senator Uba Sani having scored the highest of the total votes cast, won the election and returned elected.

Henry said,”a total of 1,245 delegates were accredited, total votes cast stood at 1,235, total valid votes, 1,196 while invalid votes were 39.

The Governorship Candidate in his acceptance speech expressed appreciation to the party’s delegates for the confidence reposed on him and promised to reach out to other aspirants for their support to ensure victory of the party at the general elections.

He promised to build on the wonderful legacies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai, tackle numerous challenges before the state and forge unity among the people of Kaduna.
