Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the development during Wednesday’s plenary session, which was streamed on the National Assembly’s YouTube channel.

The nominees include Kayode Are from Ogun State, Aminu Dalhatu from Jigawa State, and Ayodele Oke from Oyo State. Akpabio noted that this represents the initial set of appointments, with more names expected in the coming weeks.

Since assuming office in 2023, President Tinubu has yet to confirm any ambassadors, a situation that has drawn public criticism.
