According to a statement released on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the decision was made to allow Dr. Gawuna dedicate more attention to his duties as Chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).

AVM Saddiq Kaita, the newly appointed Pro-Chancellor, brings a wealth of military and administrative experience to the university. Before retiring from the Nigerian Air Force, he served in several key positions, including Director of Strategy at the Defence Headquarters and Chief of Defence Transformation and Innovation.
