President Bola Tinubu has appointed Abdurrazaq Nakore as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano.

In the same announcement, Prof. Abdullahi Kodage was confirmed as the institution’s new Vice Chancellor.

The appointments were made public on Wednesday in Abuja through a statement by the President’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga. The statement noted that Mr. Nakore, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, previously served as Executive Secretary of the Rural Electricity Board in Jigawa State.

According to the university’s regulations, the Pro-Chancellor will serve a four-year term, while the Vice Chancellor is expected to hold office for five years.
