Although there was no formal announcement from the government, a short video circulating on social media confirmed his arrival in the state capital.

Alkali was received at Yalo Airport after flying in from Abuja, before moving in a convoy of four vehicles to his official residence at Government House. A source from his office disclosed that he made a brief stop at the Deputy Governor’s office, where he met with some senior officials.

Neither the Deputy Governor’s office nor the media team of Governor Agbu Kefas has issued a public statement on his return.

Alkali had been receiving medical treatment in Abuja and reportedly in Egypt for an undisclosed ailment. His long absence had fueled speculation, with opposition voices at one point calling for his seat to be declared vacant.
