Two more persons have been rescued alive in a three-story building that collapsed on Freeman Street, Lagos Island on Saturday.

The latest figure brought to three the number of persons rescued alive from the debris.

The building, still under construction caved in during a heavy downpour.

Kano Building Collapse: Experts explain why incidents occur

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had confirmed earlier on Saturday that one person had been rescued while another was brought out dead.

NEMA’s Zonal Coordinator in the Southwest, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the latest development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

Rescue operators on ground included those of NEMA, Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Fire service. (NAN)
