The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa has empowered 200 youths drawn from Doguwa and Tudunwada Federal Constituency.
The youths consisting of both men and women were provided with various vocational training at Tudunwada Town.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Hon. Alhassan Doguwa said the gesture was designed to support unemployed youths to chart a new course when they are expected to play an essential role in the development of Doguwa/Tudunwada.
He stressed that the move is also aimed at reducing the spate of unemployment, bedevilling the country to the barest minimum.
“The youths in Tudunwada/Doguwa Federal Constituency are very vital to us. Therefore, it becomes paramount that we look into their plights and provide an enabling environment for them to learn various skills to be able to fend for themselves and, by extension, become good ambassadors of society.
“This is not the beginning as we have been supporting the youths in various capacities for them to grow, and we will continue to do so in the future,” Doguwa said.
The Sardauna of Rano Emirate charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the skills they learned and the funds given to them to achieve the desired goals.
“I implore you to make good use of the resources given to you and to also pass on what you have learnt to those in the communities you live in,” Alhassan Doguwa said.
The participants also promised to put what they have been taught and fifty thousand Naira support given to them by the Leader to good use.
The occasion was attended by eminent personalities, prominent politicians, top government officials, District Heads of Doguwa and Tudunwada, and Wamban Rano.
