On Saturday, security operatives at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja forcibly removed protesters and journalists from the facility using gunshots.

The incident began when masked security operatives suspected to be personnel of the Department of State Services started shooting sporadically at protesters, who were reconvening after being initially dispersed by other security agents.

The sudden gunfire caused the protesters to flee into nearby bushes, with some security operatives giving chase. Meanwhile, the remaining masked operatives on the ground came for the journalists who were at a separate spot.
