Jones, renowned for his unique Blufunk style, a fusion of blues, funk and global influences, entertained a lively audience with his dynamic guitar work, distinctive rhythms and engaging stage presence. The performance reflected the SAFAR program’s mission of presenting diverse artistic voices while strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a hub for international cultural exchange.

SAMoCA at Jax launched the SAFAR series on 28 October with a performance by French music collective Bon Entendeur, blending electronic, disco, funk and hip hop. The series continues with the multimedia duo Love & Revenge, who will conduct a workshop on Sunday, 7 December, followed by a performance at the SAMoCA Outdoor Arena on Monday, 8 December at 9:00 PM. Their show, Agmal Layali, offers a contemporary reimagining of Oum Kalthoum’s timeless legacy, combining electronic music with cinematic visuals to introduce her artistry to new audiences.
SAMoCA at Jax serves as a hub for contemporary art and a platform for promoting innovative artworks. The museum showcases contemporary art from Saudi Arabia and around the world, fostering cultural exchange and supporting local artists. Through exhibitions, residencies and interactive programs, SAMoCA presents diverse artistic perspectives while providing opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing. The museum’s activities contribute to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals, positioning Riyadh as a thriving center for creativity and contemporary arts.
