The Royal Court confirmed the decision through the Saudi Press Agency, citing the Supreme Court’s verification of the crescent moon sighting.
The timing of Eid al-Fitr follows the lunar calendar, and several neighboring countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, have also declared Sunday as the start of the celebrations. However, Oman and Iran have announced that the festival will begin on Monday.
