President Bola Tinubu has given approval for Didi Esther Walson-Jack to assume the role of Head of the Civil Service of the Federation starting August 14, 2024.


Before this appointment, Walson-Jack held the position of permanent secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education, having been appointed as Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017 and serving across various ministries.

The announcement was made in a statement on Wednesday by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President, titled ‘President Tinubu Appoints New Head of Civil Service of the Federation.’

According to the statement, “The new appointee will take over from the incumbent Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, who is due to retire on August 13, 2024.”

President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the outgoing Head of Service for her leadership and charged the incoming Head of Service to carry out her duties with innovative approaches, integrity, and strict adherence to the existing rules and regulations of the Civil Service of the Federation.
