The Kano State Police Command has successfully thwarted a terror plot that was intended to disrupt the recently concluded National Tijjaniyya Maulud celebration in the state.

Explosives and dangerous weapons, planned for use during the event, were recovered at Tokarawa village in Gezawa Local Government Area.
According to Commissioner of Police Salman Dogo-Garba, the police, in collaboration with state agencies, acted swiftly to prevent the attack and ensure the safety of both residents and visitors during the celebration.
The command has reassured the public of its ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security across the state
