Barely 48 hours after a 17 year daughter of an official of the Nigeria security and civil defence corps (NSCDC) regained freedom after she was abducted by some unknown gunmen at GRA NEPA area in Birnin Kebbi, again some unknown gunmen struck in Nayelwa village under Birnin Kebbi local government area of Kebbi state.

Confirming the abduction, the state police image maker, DSP Nafiu Abubakar said that, the victim aged 45, Aisha Aliyu Magaji was abducted at Nayelwa village when they struck.

He added that the police are on the trail of the abductors with a view to rescuing the victim unhurt.

This was the second in the series of abductions in the state since bandits moved closer to the state capital Birnin kebbi as local vigilante has been battling cattle rustlers at Zuru emirate which gave birth to “Yan sakai”.

However, there was a rumour of another abduction at Gulumbe town a village too under Birnin Kebbi local government but while confirming the Nayelwa abduction.

DSP Nafiu Abubakar said the police are yet to be briefed on the incident of Gulumbe village.

Efforts to get the chairman of Birnin Kebbi local government, Muhammad Aminu magatakarda were unsuccessful as he is said to have traveled out of the state for medical treatment.
