On Wednesday, former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari joined family and fellow Muslims in celebrating Sallah, a significant Islamic holiday.

Buhari’s media aide, Buhari Sallau, shared photos of Buhari with his wife, children, and in-laws.

Meanwhile, the location of these festivities is unknown.

Buhari, who had recently returned to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State, had met with current President Bola Tinubu in London.

While Tinubu has returned to Nigeria since their meeting, it is unclear whether Buhari has.

In a related development, in his Sallah message, Buhari expressed his best wishes for a joyous celebration and specifically prayed for those performing the sacred Hajj pilgrimage.

He wished them a safe journey and a happy return.

Buhari’s former presidential media aide, Garba Shehu, signed the message, which acknowledged the significant challenges involved in leading a diverse nation like Nigeria.

As a result, the former president urged all Nigerians to support the current Bola Tinubu administration.

He emphasised that effective leadership requires sacrifice and support from its citizens.

In the full text of his message, Buhari said, “Leading a country like Nigeria is one of the hardest challenges in life.”

He urged Nigerians to fully support the Tinubu Administration, highlighting that “leadership is a challenging task that demands the sacrifices and support of the citizens.”
