Speaking at a press conference, Kibiya asserted that the election lacked both democracy and integrity, leading the PDP to abstain from participating. He stated that the absence of fair democratic procedures rendered the election unfair and undemocratic.

Kibiya also shared his vision for strengthening the PDP’s role in Kano, aiming to build a democratic platform that can foster credible leadership and sustainable development. He proposed a ten-year development program targeting social, educational, religious, and economic issues that impact the people of Kano.

The PDP chairman urged citizens across Kano, including those outside the party, to collaborate with the PDP to shape a brighter future for the state. “Let us work hand-in-hand to create a government that is responsive, transparent, and accountable,” Kibiya said, stressing the need for collective action. “The time for change is now, and together we will succeed. Success can only be achieved if we work together and reinforce one another.”
