The lawsuit filed against Idris Abiola-candidacy Ajimobi’s for a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly has been dropped.

Idris was elected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Ibadan South-West II State Constituency in May.

However, two party members, Michael Famurewa and Olawale Ayilara, opposed his election.

The two have now dropped their lawsuit against the son of ex-governor Abiola Ajimobi.

After Famurewa and Ayilara dropped their legal action, the court dismissed the case.

In his reaction on Friday through spokesman Lateef Alade, Idris commended the co-contestants.

The flagbearer noted that the plaintiffs demonstrated maturity and loyalty to the party.

Idris also thanked APC leaders for their intervention which led to amicable resolution of the issue.

“I assure our leaders, co-contestants, constituents and other members of the party that I will justify the confidence reposed in me through quality representation”, he said.
