The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State has announced the deployment of 3,256 personnel to ensure security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

According to the Kano State Command, the operatives will be stationed at strategic locations, including Eid prayer grounds, markets, recreational centers, and other public places, to maintain order and safeguard lives and property.
The State Commandant, Shafi’u Abdulmumini, emphasized the importance of a peaceful celebration, urging residents to cooperate with security operatives. He assured that measures have been put in place to prevent any disruptions and to facilitate smooth vehicular movements across the state.
“Our personnel have been directed to work in collaboration with other security agencies to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration,” he said.
The NSCDC also reiterated its commitment to protecting critical national assets and infrastructure during the festive period.
Residents are encouraged to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious activities to security agencies for prompt action.
