The information was confirmed by the Command’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Abdullahi, who said the arrests followed credible intelligence provided by local vigilantes.

The suspects, aged between 18 and 28, were apprehended during a midnight operation while in possession of stolen transformer cables. They have been identified as Muhammad Yusuf, 18; Muhd Sani Adamu, 19; Umar Musa, 19; Ahmed Auwal, 20; Muhd Yusuf, 28; and Usman Ali, 19, most of whom reside in the area.

Initial investigations indicate that the suspects were involved in burglary, theft, and vandalism of electricity facilities in Hayin Da’e, Farawa Kwanar Yashi, and the Hotoro eastern bypass.

The NSCDC has launched a detailed investigation, and the suspects’ confessions could lead to further arrests. Once investigations are concluded, they will face prosecution in court.
