The arrest was confirmed in a statement on Wednesday by the Command’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Abdullahi.
According to the NSCDC, Adam, who hails from Garko Local Government Area but resides in Kawo, Nassarawa LGA of Kano State, tricked his victim with promises of better education and a profitable business. He allegedly used local charms to gain her trust before obtaining the money.
Abdullahi explained that investigations have been concluded, and the suspect will soon be charged in court.
The case adds to a series of fraud-related arrests made by the Corps in recent months. In July, the Ekiti State Command apprehended a woman identified as Abigail Timothy for an alleged N159 million visa scam involving a pastor and several others.
Similarly, in Kano, the NSCDC earlier arrested a man accused of collecting money from unsuspecting citizens under the guise of offering employment in government ministries.
