The State Commandant of NSCDC, Bala Bodinga, disclosed this while briefing journalists at the command’s headquarters shortly after the handover.
According to Bodinga, the suspects identified as 25-year-old Yusuf Alasan, a known Indian hemp dealer, alongside Muktar Musa and Musa Sani, were apprehended on October 7, 2025, in Doguwa Local Government Area following a credible intelligence report.
He explained that operatives recovered three sacks of marijuana from the suspects during the operation. Preliminary investigations, he said, had been concluded before the suspects and the exhibits were handed over to the NDLEA for necessary action.
Bodinga reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to strengthening collaboration with other security agencies to curb criminal activities across the state.
The commandant also recalled that in August 2025, NSCDC operatives arrested two suspected criminals linked to drug peddling and burglary.
