Two central defenders of Kano Pillars FC Abdullahi Musa and Ndasi Dennis would not be available for the matchday 32 fixture of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL)  as the “Masu Gida” side will face the Sunshine Stars of Akure in today’s fixture, of the ongoing  2020/2021 NPFL season.

Spokesman of Kano Pillars FC Rilwanu Idris Malikawa made this known as he said Abdullahi Musa will miss the encounter as a result of the five yellow cards he accumulated in previous matches, while Ndasi Dennis was injured during the round of 32 of this year’s Aiteo Cup in Lokoja where Pillars trashed Smart City FC of Lagos by 4-2 on July 7.

Malikawa said with the absence of the two players, Emmanuel Anyawu and Nura Ibrahim would be the commanders of the club in the central defence.

However, Malikawa confirmed that “Sai Masu Gida” player,  Auwalu Ali Malam who travelled with the home-based Super Eagles to America last week joined the team and would be among the starting eleven today.

He confirmed that Auwalu Ali Malam joined the team in Lokoja last Wednesday immediately after their arrival from America.

Commenting on the changes in the team, the acting technical adviser of the club Ibrahim A. Musa said he was very much confident that all his players were capable of facing any challenge and expressed hope they would not leave Akure empty.
